“I hope that physical closeness is not something I have to do without, even in old age.”

We asked, you answered.

How would you describe yourself?

45 years, white, single parent, full-time professional in a managerial position

Imagine you are 72, 80 or even 99 years old: How and with whom do you live together?

With my partner in our flat in the city.

Who are the most important people in your life and how do you spend time with them?

My partner, my children, my friends. We are active (sports), cook together at home or go to restaurants and pubs, we live in the present and travel from time to time.

What is your sex and love life like in the future?

I hope that physical closeness is not something I have to do without, even in old age.

How do you manage to stay mentally and physically fit?

Mental reflection through social contacts, sport, good nutrition, medical care.

How do you afford everyday life in the future?

I hope that what I have invested in insurances and pensions will be enough in old age. I also have my own flat that should be paid off by then.

In the future, what do you get up for in the morning?

For the pleasure of my life.

If you had to tell a young friend about all the things you’ve done right while ageing and would thus recommend to them… What would they be?

“…fight for your ideas, dreams and wishes and be there for the people you love!”
