Travelling on giant tortoises

Who am I?

Jan: Nature, party, money, communism.

Why am I interested in tourism?

I am currently living on an island and working remotely. I want to organise sporty travels that my non-athletic friends want to join me on.

Dear…,

I travelled to Sri Lanka very slowly, pleasantly, ecologically and with a tip-top Internet connection – maybe a giant tortoise gave me a lift on its back.

Language barriers are a thing of the past, thanks to technology.

I can participate directly in local life, make friends, understand politics, celebrate festivals and go to the gym.

Wishes and hopes behind the image of the future:

1. “For the future of tourism I hope that…

people can travel longer and thus immerse themselves more deeply.

2. “If I could wish for anything at all, I would…

wish that travel would already be less neo-colonial and polluting.

3. “If I were a powerful politician, I would…

try to keep my country independent of tourism.
